What you will move with us

About us
Barmelweid is one of the leading specialized and rehabilitation clinics in Northwestern Switzerland and the largest psychosomatic-psychotherapeutic clinic in the country. The Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy has 118 beds and additionally includes two psychotherapeutic day clinics as well as two outpatient clinics in Aarau and Frick.
Our department sees itself as a psychotherapeutically grounded and at the same time somatically integrating institution. The close and established collaboration with the somatic specialist disciplines of the clinic enables us to treat patients with complex, multimorbid diseases as well as with pronounced psychopathological disorders comprehensively and holistically.
Barmelweid employs over 750 staff. It is located at about 800 meters altitude on a clearing in the Aargau Jura – embedded in a unique natural and park landscape that contributes to a special working and healing environment
