Medical secretary for the Nephrology and Hypertension Department
To complete its team, the Nephrology and Hypertension Department is looking for a 40% medical secretary on a permanent contract for a start date planned for November 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Nephrology Department cares for people suffering from kidney disease or arterial hypertension. Our team of professionals offers them care, medication treatment, or prevention advice. We also provide renal function replacement through dialysis, both for hospitalized and outpatient patients.
Mission
- You ensure the administrative secretariat for Prof. Wuerzner and the hypertension consultation, managing phone calls, organizing the agenda and mail, administrative correspondence, and transmitting information in the absence of doctors
- You handle clinical activities of the HTA consultation, organizing appointments in connection with the desk, following up consultations, maintaining medical records, and typing consultation reports
- You prepare investigation reports and other documents and their billing
- You prepare files and archive them according to the unit's guidelines
- You provide general administrative support and assist with replacements during team leaves/absences
- You participate in the life of the department with occasional tasks related to your skills.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC and/or a medical secretary diploma or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least one year of successful experience in the medical field
- You have perfect command of French spelling and a good knowledge of medical terminology
- You have good knowledge of the English language
- You are a versatile, organized, and autonomous person
- Your collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills, and priority management allow you to follow and manage several files simultaneously
- You have the ability to handle a busy activity and work in a multidisciplinary team
- You are comfortable with MS Office software, and ideally with CHUV IT tools (Axya, Ultragenda, Soarian, Relact, Archimède, Medin-Medex).
