Medical Radiology Technician at the Oncology Department
To temporarily strengthen its team, the radio-oncology service, which offers each patient personalized care and high-level treatments based on comprehensive management and cutting-edge technologies, is looking for a Medical Radiology Technician.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The UNIL-CHUV Oncology Department brings together cancer clinic and research with an innovative spirit. It includes the medical oncology, immuno-oncology, radio-oncology, hematology services, and the experimental therapies center. It also integrates the Lausanne branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) for cancer research, particularly in immunotherapy.
Mission
- You support patients and assist them throughout their care in the service
- You collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- You perform treatments in renovated premises equipped with a state-of-the-art technical platform including: CT scanner, planning system (TPS), Tomotherapies, linear accelerators with IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy, CyberKnife, as well as HDR Ir-192 brachytherapy
- You implement measures to ensure treatment safety
- You participate in the development of new treatment techniques.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science HES-SO degree as a Medical Radiology Technician or an equivalent qualification
- You demonstrate precision and rigor
- You have good listening skills, empathy, and interpersonal skills
- You are recognized for your spirit of mutual aid and collaboration
- You are able to adapt to new techniques.
