About the job
Intern Communication 80 - 100%The Education Directorate, together with its partners, shapes the education system of the Canton of Zurich. This includes kindergarten, primary and secondary levels, middle schools and vocational schools, universities and continuing education, as well as supportive educational services such as scholarships and career counseling. The General Secretariat is the management staff of the Director of Education and includes the areas of personnel, specialist and legal services, appeals department, finance and digital, political planning and communication, construction, as well as educational planning. Here, the affairs and projects of the entire Education Directorate are coordinated. We are looking for an intern in communication (80–100%) for the Communications Department in the General Secretariat, starting immediately or by arrangement. The position is limited to six months.
Your area of responsibility
As a communication intern, you will gain comprehensive insight into the tasks of the Communications Department and support the team in its diverse activities. Essentially, you are responsible for preparing contributions and posts for the website and the social media channels of the Education Directorate. In addition, you write your own contributions for internal communication and for the school newspaper of the Canton of Zurich.
Your profile
You are currently studying for a bachelor's degree in communication and media or have recently successfully completed it. You have a strong interest in political processes and educational policy issues. You are characterized by good editorial skills as well as a careful and forward-looking way of working. You enjoy working in a team, are open, independent, and responsible. You are familiar with multimedia storytelling formats and navigate social media skillfully.
