Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Technical Services, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing a professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Performing tasks requested by the supervisor quickly and efficiently (repairs, installations for conferences and banquets, small installations…)
- Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all electrical, telecommunication, and TV video installations
- Ensuring that the work performed complies with current regulations
- Managing the stock of electrical materials and light sources according to the budget developed by the department manager
- Participating in work and repairs outside the usual scope of activity (mechanical, sanitary installations, etc.)
- Ensuring preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Replacing or repairing defective equipment (sockets, switches, electrical panels, etc.).
- Checking backup systems (generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms).
- Installing new electrical equipment and wiring.
- Upgrading electrical installations during renovations.
- Designing and implementing energy-saving systems.
- Collaborating with other trades (plumbers, heating technicians, maintenance technicians).
- Managing electrical material stocks and placing necessary orders.
- Ensuring the updating of the establishment's electrical plans.
- Learning LQA technical and emotional standards and applying them
- Participating in technical shifts
- Participating in evening service
- Committing to the quality of service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, being friendly, and staying calm at all times
- Respecting ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary regulations
- Respecting the department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience in a similar position
- Experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
- CFC or diploma completed in the electrical field, electrician operation authorization required
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work in interconnection with different hotel departments
- Basic computer skills
- Fluency in French
- Good knowledge of English and/or German is an asset
- Dynamic, loyal, flexible, and versatile personality
- Organized and methodical, with a sense of initiative
- Proposes ideas or constructive improvements
- Ability to prioritize within the framework of goals to be achieved
- Clean and orderly workshop and workspaces
- Good presentation and oral expression

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
