The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS is the reference institute for measurements and measuring instruments in Switzerland. To ensure that a liter is always a liter (e.g., when refueling), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments, and consultations for business, research, and administration. Measurement accuracy creates trust, especially at the societal and political levels, and is indispensable in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time transfer, measurements in environmental and health sectors, etc. At METAS, various disciplines come together and complement each other – and this has been the case since 1862.

Your tasks

• Technical responsibility and execution of type tests of measuring devices for official speed controls and red light monitoring
• Developing, improving, and maintaining the testing infrastructure, including over-the-air simulators, in the field of traffic measurement technology
• Contributing to the design of the future service offering

Your profile

• Successfully completed studies as an electrical engineer FH (or equivalent education)
• Strong ability to independently plan, prioritize, coordinate, execute, and thoroughly document testing and development projects
• Customer orientation with clear, transparent, and empathetic communication skills
• Active knowledge of two official languages and English
• Driver's license category B
