Specialized Nurse or Assistant in Care and Community Health (ASSC) or Medical Assistant with recognized skills in the operating room

Your mission:
- Prepare the room and endoscopy equipment (bronchoscopy) according to hygiene and safety protocols
- Welcome and inform patients before the examination, ensure their comfort and answer their questions
- Assist the doctor during bronchoscopies (equipment management, technical assistance, sampling)
- Manage endoscopic samples after examination
- Ensure the storage of endoscopy equipment and supervise cleaning according to current standards
- Work closely with the pulmonologist and care teams (notably day hospital and anesthesia team) to ensure quality and safety of care
- Participate in the development and improvement of protocols and procedures specific to endoscopy
- Manage pneumological endoscopy equipment
- Contribute to traceability of procedures, stock management, and quality assurance in the sector
- Perform complete lung function tests or be willing to be trained in this area for activity at HFR Fribourg – Cantonal Hospital and HFR Riaz
Your profile:
- You hold a diploma in nursing or ASSC or medical assistant
- You have a CAS training in endoscopy / Interuniversity Diploma (DIU) in endoscopy or equivalent training in endoscopy
- You have experience in endoscopy, preferably in pneumological endoscopy
- You have training to perform lung function tests or agree to receive it (training provided)
- You master French or German with good knowledge of the other language
- You appreciate working in an interdisciplinary team
- You have a dynamic and constructive mindset
- You are open to change and adaptable

Tasks
- You prepare the operating room and the endoscopic material (bronchoscopy) following hygiene and safety regulations.
- You welcome patients, explain the procedure, answer their questions, and ensure their well-being.
- You assist the doctor during bronchoscopies (material management, technical assistance, sampling).
- You manage the endoscopic samples after the procedure.
- You take care of the endoscopy material and supervise cleaning according to applicable standards.
- You work closely with the pulmonologist and nursing team (especially the day clinic team and anesthesia team) to ensure quality and safety of care.
- You contribute to the development and improvement of endoscopy protocols and procedures.
- You manage the pneumological endoscopy equipment.
- You contribute to traceability of medical actions, stock management, and quality assurance in your area.
- You perform complete lung function assessments or are willing to be trained in this area (training funded by the hospital) to work at HFR Freiburg – Cantonal Hospital and HFR Riaz.
Profile
- Dipl. nurse, FaGe or medical practice assistant
- Further training in endoscopy (CAS, inter-university diploma or equivalent qualification)
- Professional experience in endoscopy, especially pneumological endoscopy, is an advantage
- Training in lung function assessment or willingness to complete it (training funded by the hospital)
- German or French with good knowledge of the other language
- Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team
