Staff Vice-Rectorate Teaching

The University of Bern, as a comprehensive university, educates over 19,000 students across eight faculties and employs more than 7,500 staff. The staff in the Vice-Rectorate Teaching is responsible, among other things, for strategic projects in the promotion of innovative and interdisciplinary teaching as well as digitalization in teaching and studies.
Tasks
During the maternity cover, you will work with the staff of the Vice-Rectorate Teaching and other units of the Vice-Rectorate and faculty members on projects and events in the area of promoting good teaching. This includes, among other things:
- Collaboration in the implementation of the new funding programs for effective teaching
- Revision and updating of materials as well as the course room for the online event "Preparation Workshop for First Semester Students"
- Completion of already ongoing funded projects (especially in the area of self-learning courses for the introductory study phase FOKUS)
- Occasional collaboration on other ongoing and new tasks in the Vice-Rectorate Teaching
Requirements
- University degree
- Affinity for topics of (higher) education and teaching promotion
- Experience in project management and communication with different target groups
- Good verbal and written expression
- Team-oriented
- Proactive working style
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of CMS and ILIAS or willingness to quickly acquire these
