• Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of category strategies within the assigned categories
• Coordination, creation, execution, and responsibility of procurements within and outside the scope of the public procurement law (IVöB)
• Close cooperation with relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Conducting contract and price negotiations
• Identification, qualification, and development of suppliers, including supplier evaluations
• Participation in the development and optimization of purchasing processes and structures as well as other cross-departmental projects (e.g., material master data)
• Monitoring and controlling relevant KPIs in purchasing
• Handling the entire operational procurement process: requirements determination in coordination with stakeholders, inquiry, ordering, deadline tracking including escalation in case of delay, goods receipt monitoring, invoice verification and approval within the assigned categories
• Handling complaints in cooperation with the requirement holders and suppliers

• Completed further training as a purchasing manager with a federal diploma or equivalent is a plus
• Many years of experience in purchasing, especially in the strategic area
• Further training as a specialist in public procurement or several years of experience in public procurement is a plus
• Confident handling of ERP systems, ideally with SAP S4/Hana and digital procurement platforms
• Fluent German skills in spoken and written form, additional languages are an advantage
