The Kantonsschule Uetikon am See (KUE) was newly founded in summer 2018 and is still in the development phase. It offers a lower secondary level (9th/10th grade) and five of the Zurich Matura profiles (classical languages, mathematical-natural sciences, modern languages, economics-law, as well as philosophical-pedagogical-psychological). Until the move to the new buildings on the CU site directly by the lake (expected in 2032), KUE has a population of around 800 students.
Your tasks
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and service-oriented personality who actively maintains, shapes, and further develops our modern educational infrastructure.
Together with the IT specialist and with the involvement of external partners, you will manage the IT infrastructure of KUE, ensuring smooth operation of digital services. The following activities are part of your daily routine:
- 1st level support for students, teachers, and staff
- Support with IT problems (hardware and software, O365, Mac)
- Management of the service desk and processing of support tickets
- Installation, maintenance, and care of school devices (workstations, AV technology, etc.)
- Setup of WLAN connections and network printers
- Technical support at school events
- Conducting workshops for all IT user groups
- Deputizing for the IT specialist
- Regular working hours by agreement within the team, with occasional evening shifts
- Support and collaboration with the facility management
Your profile
We are looking for a personality who works responsibly, helpfully, and independently. Your expertise, combined with a strong service mentality, enables you to competently support both students and teachers. You bring the following qualifications and attitudes:
- Completed technical or IT-related training (e.g., IT specialist in system integration, IT professional EFZ or equivalent)
- Solid knowledge of hardware, networks, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
- Experience in technical support (ideally in a school environment)
- Team spirit and enjoyment in working with young people
- Willingness to help design and implement creative solutions
