About the job
Assistant for Charitable Fund 50%The Charitable Fund is located in the General Secretariat of the Finance Directorate of the Canton of Zurich and works closely with various stakeholders from administration, politics, and society. It supports projects for charitable purposes of all kinds outside the areas of sports, culture, and monument preservation. Each year, the fund enables numerous projects mainly throughout the canton, but also outside the canton and internationally, with funds from the Swisslos Intercantonal National Lottery cooperative.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed individual. Our long-standing colleague is retiring – therefore, we are seeking a successor who works with care, overview, and joy in contact with different organizations.
Your tasks:
- Telephone and written contact with applying organizations and institutions
- Administrative processing of applications in the Axioma system, e.g., opening and closing of cases
- Preparing decision notifications for the government council
- Monitoring and compliance with deadlines throughout the application process
- Triggering payments according to decisions
- Requesting and processing accountability reports from supported organizations
- Assisting with the fund's annual financial statement
- General administrative and organizational support of the team
Your profile:
- Commercial training or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in an administrative role, ideally in public administration
- Very precise, structured, and reliable way of working
- Enjoyment in dealing with different stakeholders and strong service orientation
- Responsible, independent, and proactive personality
- Confident German language skills in speaking and writing as well as good IT user skills
