Several occupational therapists for different Units
The CHUV is looking for several occupational therapists for various positions with an activity rate between 70% and 90% starting March 1, 2026, on a fixed-term contract to replace maternity leaves within the teams of the Occupational Therapy Service.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Occupational Therapy Service contributes to the three main missions of the CHUV: care services, education, and research. It includes different units (musculoskeletal department, hand center, pediatrics, neuro-rehabilitation, and geriatrics).
Mission
In accordance with the CHUV's triple mission, you will contribute to care, education, and research.
Several positions are offered. You will work in one of the units, either in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, or rheumatology with the aim of assessing, guiding, and initiating rehabilitation and re-education. Your main tasks will be:
- You carry out occupational therapy interventions with a varied patient population, depending on the area in which you work
- In partnership with the person, their relatives, and interdisciplinary teams, you encourage the client’s engagement in activities and participation in daily life according to their care pathway
- You actively participate in the quality and safety of services with the goal of harmonizing, developing, and promoting practices.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or an equivalent qualification
- You demonstrate good integration skills and appreciate working in an interdisciplinary team
- You show versatility, flexibility, adaptability, and autonomy.
Various profiles are sought for interventions: either in the geriatrics unit or in the acute care and rehabilitation unit. Specific knowledge in one of these areas is an asset.
The salary scale ranges between 8 and 9, depending on the candidate’s profile.
