Medical coder within the Coding, Control and Archiving Unit
The CHUV is looking for a medical coder at a work rate between 80% and 100%, for an indefinite duration starting February 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Medical Coding, Control and Archiving Unit (CCAM), attached to the Patient Administrative Management Service (GAP), ensures the coding of diagnoses and interventions for all CHUV hospitalizations based on medical and nursing records.
Mission
- You are responsible for coding CHUV hospitalizations
- You handle ordinary requests from insurers
- You respond to requests from the billing department.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in the field of care or an equivalent recognized title
- You have 5 years of experience in medical coding (required)
- You demonstrate good integration skills and appreciate working in an interdisciplinary team
- You show flexibility and adaptability.
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be between level 7 and level 8.
