About the job
The Zug Cantonal Hospital is dedicated to the health of the population of the canton of Zug and the surrounding regions. Around 1200 employees, including 180 in training and further education, work in various areas. Every year, we treat and care for over 11,500 inpatient and over 70,000 outpatient patients. More than 27,500 people are treated annually in the interdisciplinary emergency center.The spectrum of our Surgical Clinic includes general and visceral surgery, vascular and thoracic surgery. Attending physicians work in the fields of urology and ENT. We are a training center for Surgery B3 (3 years), General and Trauma Surgery AUC1 (4 years), as well as Visceral Surgery V2 (2 years).
Our Surgical Clinic is looking for a Assistant Doctor / Assistant Physician Surgery 100% from August 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Assisting in elective and emergency surgeries
- Caring for surgical patients on the wards
- Rotational work in the busy emergency department as well as night and weekend shifts
Your Profile
- Surgical internship year or young colleague for surgical or orthopedic training
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
