High Court of the Canton of Zurich
II. Criminal Chamber
The High Court of the Canton of Zurich is on the one hand an appellate court in civil and criminal matters and also includes the commercial court. On the other hand, it is responsible for the independent judicial administration of the Zurich civil and criminal courts as well as for the notarial system.
The II. Criminal Chamber mainly handles appeals against district court criminal judgments. The proceedings are usually oral. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and motivated individual as of May 1, 2026, or by arrangement, as

Tasks
- Creating cases
- Electronic data management
- Mail service and general secretarial tasks
- Control and processing of file traffic
- Preparation and dispatch of interim and final decisions
- Handling appeals and deadline monitoring
- Telephone contact with courts, authorities, parties, and lawyers
- Support for court clerks in recording court hearings, with the possibility to attend hearings if interested
- Collaboration in the usher's office (support in summons management and during court hearings)
Requirements
For this responsible and versatile position, we are looking for a friendly, reliable, and team-oriented person with a commercial education or a completed apprenticeship with additional commercial training and a strong service orientation. Further requirements include a quick grasp, good user knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), and very good German skills. Your tasks require an independent, efficient, and very careful working style, even in hectic times. Experience in a court, administration, or law firm is an advantage.
