The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
A position of social secretary in charge of accounting at 45% is open for application within the Pré en Bulle neighborhood house. An additional 10% is under negotiation with the authorities for January 2027.
In Grottes, an unusual neighborhood house, Pré en Bulle creates links between the Grottes, Cropettes, Montbrillant neighborhoods by stimulating the associative and collective fabric and by setting up activities intended for children, adolescents, and the general public, mainly outdoors. Without a reception room, the association creatively invests public space by going to meet the residents.
Job Description
- Assume the internal organization of the center's secretariat: coordination of activities, processing and making information available, managing registrations and the association's member file;
- Carry out various secretarial tasks: correspondence, notes, minute-taking, statistics, deadlines, management of the petty cash;
- Compile, verify and use files, ensure the follow-up of the filing and archiving system;
- Assist the animation team and the Committee in various administrative tasks;
- Execute accounting according to the objectives assigned by the center's managers and FASe accounting directives; reception and entry of debtor/creditor accounts, invoice verification and follow-ups, posting entries, gathering elements necessary for the preparation of the annual budget and interim projections, establishment and monitoring of the budget with the treasurer (presentation, analysis of observed variances), preparation and adaptation of the next year's budget;
- Fully master closing operations, including preparation for auditors, including interim closings.
- Ensure the follow-up of debtors, including provisions for doubtful debtors;
- Manage salaries, social charges (AVS), staff insurance, withholding tax autonomously;
- Manage cash registers and bank accounts;
Qualifications
- Hold a commercial employee CFC AND accounting training;
- Ease in human relations with very different audiences, ease and willingness to collaborate with multiple multidisciplinary partners: users, animation team, management committee, volunteers, municipality, local and Geneva social network;
- Excellent writing skills, recognized competence in minute-taking;
- Proven experience in accounting, ease in understanding and using an accounting program (SAGE);
- Good knowledge of common IT tools;
- Ease with messaging tools, the web, and social network applications;
- Ability to work autonomously, to take useful and appropriate initiatives for the smooth running of the center, in close connection with the animation team and the management committee;
- Sense of responsibility, good organizational skills for planning and managing emergencies and unforeseen events;
- Good knowledge of the associative functioning of neighborhood houses;
- Good knowledge of the functioning and organization of FASe.
Additional Information
- Availability for minute-taking during evening meetings;
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 11;
- After the interviews, you will have an accounting test to complete within the FASe General Secretariat;
