Automation Technician /Automation Engineer (m/f/d) /GMP/Pharma/Production
Project: As a specialist for automation & system integrity, you ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous development of highly automated production systems. You manage the entire plant and software lifecycle – from commissioning to decommissioning – and guarantee the highest system availability in the regulated GMP environment. The role includes approx. 70% planned activities and 30% complex troubleshooting.
Tasks:
- Operation & Maintenance: Independent execution of maintenance, calibration, and servicing of automated machines and associated software.
- Troubleshooting: First- and second-level support for production systems, process control systems, and automation environments.
- Documentation: GMP-compliant documentation of all maintenance and modification work; maintenance and adjustment of work and maintenance instructions.
- Digitization & Optimization: Active participation in Industry 4.0 initiatives, paperless documentation, predictive maintenance, and process optimizations.
- Coordination: Planning of maintenance windows, spare parts management, coordination with production and external service providers.
- Shift/On-call service: Deployment in 3-shift operation as well as readiness for on-call duties (approx. 5 weekends/year); local proximity required.
Requirements:
- Completed training as an automation technician EFZ, mechatronics technician, electronics technician, plant & apparatus builder or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in operation & maintenance of complex automation systems.
- Experience in regulated environments (pharma, medtech, aviation, automotive).
- PLC programming skills and experience with process control systems.
- Analytical thinking and ability to solve problems independently.
- Willingness for shift & on-call duties; local residence mandatory.
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledge in IT/network technology (Industry 4.0).
- SAP experience.
- Knowledge in electrical engineering & pneumatics.
Languages:
Good German (B2 or better), English desirable
