Team Leader – IP Team (m/f/d) at our HQ in Bern
Starting immediately or by arrangement.
To strengthen our IP team in Bern, we are looking for a committed leader who, with expertise and foresight, ensures that our IP infrastructure and all associated subsystems function smoothly at all times.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for leading and managing the IP team. You are the contact person for your 5 Network Engineers and contribute to maintaining a positive team culture
- You are responsible for the technical direction and quality of your team's work. You ensure that processes and solutions meet requirements and are responsible for implementing technical innovations and improvements
- You are responsible for the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. This includes identifying and resolving disruptions in our worldwide network (with over 100 nodes) as well as supporting our international customers (mobile network operators)
- You manage the life cycle for dedicated hardware, software, and customer connections. This includes planning and implementing updates and upgrades to ensure the IP infrastructure is always up to date. You are also responsible for capacity planning
- You maintain relationships with system providers/suppliers and lead collaboration and project implementation
- You plan and ensure that an effective support organization is in place within the IP team, including on-call duty. This ensures that requests from customers or internal departments are handled efficiently and that the IP infrastructure can be offered with high quality and reliability
Your ideal profile
- You have proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop your team
- You have strong skills in work and project planning to ensure tasks are completed on time and efficiently
- You have experience in the networking world or proven leadership experience in the IP/telecom sector
- You are characterized by a structured approach and have a strong interest in creatively solving technical or organizational problems
- You are dynamic, reliable, and proactive, and your passion for your work radiates to your team and colleagues
- You feel comfortable in an international environment and have the ability to successfully collaborate with customers, colleagues, and experts from different cultures
- You have excellent communication skills, both with technical experts and non-technical stakeholders
- It is an advantage if you have higher education, whether a HF diploma, bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, business administration, or project management
- You have knowledge in one of the areas of IP infrastructure (network equipment in general, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) and are willing to familiarize yourself with these technologies
