As a Business Management Team Officer (BMT Officer), you will be responsible for the complete process of handling account openings and changes in client circumstances of Pictet’s Spanish branch.
Your role
Account openings
- Prepare and complete account-opening documentation for different types of clients and services.
- Determine the legal documents required to establish a particular relationship and request them from the client.
- Review the received documentation and perform the necessary checks to ensure it meets all formal, legal, business and AML/CFT requirements.
- Advise the Front Office team on the reasons and requirements for each document requested, as well as on any necessary clarifications.
- Manage the corresponding workflows to ensure the account is duly opened.
- Once the account is opened, perform the necessary checks to ensure the client has been correctly configured in the Bank’s systems.
Changes in circumstances
- Manage all changes in circumstances in client accounts.
- Follow up on pending documents and resolve them.
- Analyse special events in accounts (inheritances, changes in ownership, large transactions, sale of a business, etc.) and support the Front Office by advising on how to proceed in each case.
- Use the necessary workflows to carry out and document various actions, such as changing mandates, opening sub-accounts, freezing or closing accounts, etc.
Your profile
- 3-4 years of experience in similar roles.
- Knowledge of private banking activities, including discretionary management, investment advisory, custody and brokerage services.
- Understanding of legal/commercial matters and FATCA/QI/CRS regulations.
- Proficiency in MiFID II and AML/CFT regulations applicable to end clients receiving private banking services.
- Organised, proactive and initiative-driven.
- Ability to interact with high-level clients.
- Strong written and spoken Spanish and English.
