Specialist Physician Orthopedics and Traumatology 50 - 100 %
The Regional Medical Service (RAD) is an insurance medical competence center that conducts its own examinations and consultation interviews and prepares independent insurance medical assessments for the IV offices of the cantons LU, NW, OW, SZ, UR, and ZG. Around 30 doctors with various specialties are involved in RAD Central Switzerland. Our doctors can flexibly arrange their working hours from Monday to Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (no night/weekend or holiday shifts required) and have the option to work from home. Starting immediately or by arrangement, we would like to complement the RAD team with your expert competence; your work will take place at the WAS office in Lucerne and, if necessary, at one of the other IV offices in Central Switzerland.
Your tasks
- You assess the health status of insured persons and any possible effects on their ability to work and perform.
- You review medical files and maintain inter-institutional exchange.
- You engage in dialogue with the professional staff of vocational integration and exchange interdisciplinary within the RAD team.
- You conduct examinations of insured persons on site independently if necessary.
- You prepare evidence-based expert reports that lead to fair and just benefit-related decisions.
Your competencies
- You hold the corresponding specialist medical title and have professional experience.
- You have a strong interest in insurance medical as well as social insurance law issues.
- You appreciate complex matters and enjoy dialogue with employees from integration, benefits, and legal areas.
- You like to take responsibility and continue your professional and insurance medical education.
- You are a service-oriented personality and value constructive, respectful, and interdisciplinary collaboration at eye level.
