The position is attached to the Department of Clinical Neurosciences . This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological, and otorhinolaryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation).
The department's goal is to guide the patient towards regaining autonomy through teaching, support, and outpatient follow-up. It ensures the operation of patients as well as their support to promote early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also favored and surgical activity optimized to facilitate access to care within a reasonable timeframe.
Job Description
This internship is part of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) project and the upcoming opening of a clinic in a public-private partnership in June 2026. The Admission and Billing Center (ABC) of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, composed of 35 employees, will be responsible for patient admissions for the HUG part of the building.
We are looking for a motivated Bachelor intern to lead the pre-admission project related to the implementation of kiosks for admissions and the establishment of quality indicators.
You will be supervised by the head of the Admission and Billing Center of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences.
In collaboration with various internal partners, you will participate in the study for the implementation of pre-admission to simplify the administrative process for patients.
You will contribute to the installation of admission kiosks, supporting the digitalization of reception.
You will ensure the creation and monitoring of quality indicators to measure the performance and satisfaction of patients and users.
You will prepare communication and training materials for internal users.
Qualifications
This internship is part of a university or HES Bachelor degree program. You are currently in training, with an internship mandatory in your curriculum.
You are an organized, curious person who enjoys working in a team on concrete projects.
You have a good command of computer tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
You possess excellent communication skills and wish to contribute to improving patient service.
During this internship, you will learn to participate in a strategic project before the opening of a new facility within HUG.
You will discover the functioning of the patient administrative pathway in a changing healthcare environment.
You will develop your skills in project management, data analysis, and quality control.
You will join a caring and dynamic team within a stimulating project combining innovation, health, and a public service and private sector partnership.
