Role
We are seeking a motivated Client Services Officer to join our expanding team in Geneva, with a special focus on onboarding and supporting clients from the Middle East and Eastern Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is eager to work with a diverse client base. Russian and Turkish language skills are highly valued for this position.
Position Tasks:
- Support Client Relationship Officers (CROs): Assist in daily business activities, ensuring smooth client interactions and high service standards.
- Client Interaction: Maintain regular, proactive contact with clients via phone and email, providing timely and top-quality service.
- Account Management: Manage the full lifecycle of client accounts (openings, updates, closures), including due diligence and documentation checks.
- Transaction Execution: Process and control various client instructions (stock market transactions, payments, FX trades, derivatives, etc.) in compliance with internal regulations.
- Client Onboarding: Play an active role in onboarding new clients, particularly from the Middle East and Eastern Europe markets, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review client documentation, conduct internet searches, and ensure compliance with AML and internal policies.
- Administrative Support: Handle client reviews, monitor pending documents, and manage various organizational tasks.
- Marketing Support: Prepare presentations, pitchbooks, investment proposals, and portfolio reviews to support client engagement.
- Promote Digital Solutions: Encourage clients to adopt paperless accounts and e-banking platforms.
- Uphold Standards: Adhere to the Code of Conduct and all internal guidelines (Cross Border, AML, Clear Desk Policy, Absence Management).
Position Skills:
- Education: Commercial banking apprenticeship or similar banking-related education. Higher financial education completed or in progress is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a banking environment, ideally within client services or account management.
- Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial instruments (equities, bonds, structured products, derivatives).
- Compliance: Good knowledge of Compliance and AML topics.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Languages: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required. Proficiency in Russian and/or Turkish is highly desirable;
