About the job
You are responsible for the overall fire safety of municipal buildings, both organizationally and technically.
- Governance and Organization
- Establish and maintain the municipal fire safety organization
- Develop and update processes, guidelines, and intervention plans
- Organize and supervise evacuation drills
- Train and raise awareness among all staff (including municipal employees)
- Ensure compliance with regulations and ordered measures
- Regulatory Compliance and Coordination
- Be the preferred contact person for fire protection authorities
- Analyze files in the context of building or operating permits
- Develop fire protection concepts adapted to projects
- Supervise measures during renovation or transformation work
- Issue or coordinate certificates of compliance
- Control and Operation
- Carry out periodic inspections of buildings
- Ensure the compliance of evacuation routes
- Supervise the maintenance of fire protection devices
- Check extinguishing equipment and their proper functioning
- Guarantee the accessibility of emergency services in case of disaster
Your profile
- AEAI Fire Safety Officer Certificate
- Proven experience (minimum 3 to 5 years) in a similar position
- Technical building training (CFC, architect, construction manager or equivalent: an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of AEAI standards and administrative procedures
- Experience in managing complex files
- Good writing skills and proficiency in common IT tools
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, and rigor
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders (authorities, municipal services, companies)
- Availability occasionally in the evening or on weekends if necessary
- Driving license B

- Experience as a firefighter
- Title of fire protection expert
