Do you want to leverage your industry knowledge by managing your own portfolio of banks and securities firms and take responsibility for the institutions, from authorization to the end of supervision? Then this position is made for you.
- Independent monitoring of a portfolio of category 4 and 5 banks and securities firms and management of routine matters related to authorizations (projects, new authorizations, changes to authorization conditions, merger procedures, acquisitions, voluntary liquidation or lifting of supervision)
- Frequent external contacts with institutions, legal representatives or external audit firms
- Specialized responsibility and support for managers on complex legal issues or projects
- Review of legal issues within the portfolio monitoring, especially regarding organization, activities and Corporate Governance including drafting decisions
- Close collaboration with the supervision of banks and securities firms and cross-functional roles of other FINMA divisions
- Completed university education in law or economics or equivalent training (audit, internal revision) with solid experience in financial market law
- Good knowledge of the operational and legal conditions for the adequate organization of a bank
- Several years of experience in financial market law and authorizations due to previous work at a bank, audit firm, authority or law firm
- Developed analytical, communication and judgment skills, autonomous progress in cases and competent and convincing presentation before both internal and external stakeholders
- Professional attitude and ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Very good knowledge of French (C2) and good knowledge of German (B2). Good knowledge of Italian or English is an asset
