Administrative Manager at the Clinical Pharmacology Service
The Clinical Pharmacology Service of the Department of Medicine is looking for an administrative manager at a 60% activity rate, for a start date of May 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Within the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), the Department of Medicine brings together 12 clinical services, representing more than 1,600 employees. It welcomes patients with pathologies specific to the various medical specialties it comprises. As a dynamic training and research center, the Department of Medicine is committed to continuously developing the skills of its staff in order to offer patients high-quality support and care.
The Clinical Pharmacology Service brings together doctors, pharmacists, and other specialists who study the fate and effects of drugs on the human body. They have specific tools to describe, explain, and predict these phenomena.
Their recommendations to prescribers are valuable for clarifying complex situations concerning drugs used in medical therapy:
- Adverse effects
- Drug interactions
- Damage to elimination organs (kidneys, liver)
- Intervention of genetic traits modifying treatment response
- Prescription during pregnancy or breastfeeding, etc.
Mission
- You ensure the organizational and financial management of the Service
- You support the head of service in personnel management
- You organize and manage the service and head of service secretariat
- You lead the service secretariat team
- You participate in updating and applying internal, departmental, and institutional processes and procedures
Profile
- You hold a management and administration diploma from a business school (HEG), ideally complemented by certified training in healthcare institution management
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable position, ideally in the hospital sector
- You have a well-developed team spirit, are autonomous, and your interpersonal skills are highly appreciated
- Your excellent communication skills are recognized, and you are used to adapting to different interlocutors
- You are recognized for the quality of your management and your skills in financial and HR management
- You master common computer tools perfectly and easily adapt to new software.
