The kjz Regensdorf belongs to the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB), which is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counseling in the canton of Zurich. Social workers at kjz support children, adolescents, and their parents in challenging life situations and with individual problems together with an interdisciplinary network of helpers. They work both on behalf of the authorities (KESB, courts) and on a low-threshold basis on behalf of the parents (voluntary counseling).
For kjz Regensdorf we are looking for immediate or by arrangement
a social worker 80-100%
Your tasks include in particular:
- Clarifications of the child's welfare on behalf of the authorities, reporting and possibly applying for additional educational support
- Managing guardianships on behalf of the KESB
- Counseling parents on a voluntary basis regarding educational questions or conflicts
- Triage and coordination of various support services in the field of youth and family assistance
To fulfill these responsible tasks, you ideally have
- a completed degree from a university of applied sciences for social work (or comparable field)
- professional experience in social work
- further training in systemic, solution-oriented counseling and/or mediation (advantageous)
- very good oral and written communication skills and enjoyment in writing
- empathy combined with a positive, solution-oriented personality
- a driver's license for cars (advantageous)
