The Department of Primary Care Medicine (DMPR) has the societal mission to provide access to quality care for all through proximity medicine, to ensure the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, to promote prevention among citizens, to provide medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and to promote the health of travelers.
Due to the versatility of its skills, the Romand University Center of Forensic Medicine (CURML) is tasked with responding to all requests for expertise or advisory assistance in the medico-legal field, medical law, and doping analysis. Located in the Lake Geneva region, its area of competence operates at regional, national, and international levels.
Job Description
You will join the forensic psychiatry unit (UPL) of the CURML to conduct neuropsychological assessments in collaboration with the unit's expert physicians and at the request of the justice system.
You have solid experience in clinical neuropsychology and master the evaluation of IQ and deficits specifically related to chronic substance use, neurodegenerative processes, and ADHD. You have very good experience in diagnosis and interpretation.
You are able to work in a team and explain your report in court hearings.
You are ready to train in the specifics of forensic psychology practice.
Experience in developing or participating in research projects will be considered an asset.
Qualifications
You hold a Swiss (or recognized) Master’s degree in psychology and have obtained the FSP specialist title in clinical neuropsychology.
You have excellent command of the French language.
You have excellent organizational skills within a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining great independence in your work.
You are a person with methodological rigor and synthesis ability.
You have scientific curiosity and openness to new learning.
You demonstrate impartiality, seriousness, and the ability to work with sometimes difficult audiences.
