CONTENT AND GOALS
In the Consumer Industry Services area, we support international customer projects in retail, focusing on demand forecasting and automated replenishment. The main focus of the activity is the introduction of SAP standard components and their integration into our customers’ IT landscape as well as consulting on all aspects of product implementation.
Besides pronounced technical and communication skills, the role requires solid knowledge in statistics and machine learning (ML). The scope of work includes conducting sophisticated statistical and logistical value chain analyses as well as implementing complex integration scenarios at our customers.

TASKS
- Introduction and integration of SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR)/Unified Demand Forecast (UDF) as well as the Industry Cloud platform "Demand and Inventory Planning" with a focus on data analysis, ML-based demand forecasting, and replenishment/inventory optimization.
- Conducting time series analyses including feature engineering and data preparation. Definition of KPI/measurement concepts as well as model monitoring, retraining, and error analysis.
- Professional and technical consulting on end-to-end processes in demand planning and replenishment as well as optimal use of our forecasting platform.
- Technical data integration between SAP system components and heterogeneous data sources as well as ensuring data quality through validations and monitoring for robust forecasting and optimization models.
- Conducting complex optimization and simulation analyses for inventory and replenishment optimization based on large data volumes.
- Preparation and execution of workshops and presentations for international stakeholders including decision-making and action recommendations.
- Creation of concepts and documentation, transition to productive operation, key user training, and support in change management.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- You have a degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or natural sciences or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
- You bring practical experience in time series analysis, statistical methods/ML, and data preparation including data quality checks.
- You have solid SQL and database knowledge and confidently handle large data volumes as well as data modeling.
- You have experience in data integration and integration of complex system landscapes. Ideally, you have knowledge of S/4HANA and the SAP data model.
- You prepare results in a target group-oriented manner and convince with clear action recommendations.
- You are characterized by pronounced analytical thinking, are team-oriented, and work independently, structured, and communicatively strong.
- Experience with replenishment and forecasting solutions in retail is helpful but not a prerequisite.
- You speak fluent German and have business fluent English. You enjoy working in international teams.
