The Department of Community and Primary Care Medicine (DMCPR) has the societal mission to provide access to quality care for all through proximity medicine, to ensure the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, to promote prevention among citizens, to provide medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and to promote the health of travelers.
The Primary Care Medicine Service provides outpatient care for adult patients under primary care medicine. This service also offers outpatient emergency medical services to the population. As part of the HUG's general interest missions, it provides access to care for disadvantaged populations due to their age, social, economic, legal status (asylum seekers, rejected applicants, undocumented, prisoners), or lifestyle; if necessary, the Primary Care Medicine Service also ensures continuity of their care.
Job Description
As part of reception activities, you ensure the physical and telephone reception of vulnerable and/or precarious adult patients. You manage the GRECO schedules of all doctors as well as appointment bookings. You enter data and update patient contact details in DPA. You request and book interpreters on the IT platform. You schedule medical examination requests or specialized consultations for patients in the consultation.
You also handle the UMSCOM medical secretariat. You prepare patient documents for scanning with batch entry in DPA as well as direct scanning in DPI. You follow up and process medical information requests in Opale_Prod. You manage mail both in terms of dispatch and distribution.
Depending on needs, you may be required to participate in replacements within other SMPR units.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee, a medical secretary diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
You have successful experience in a versatile secretariat working independently.
You have a perfect command of medical terminology and proven ability to manage multiple schedules. You master English (spoken and written) and knowledge of another language, ideally Spanish, is a real asset.
You have very good knowledge of IT tools (ECDL advanced level on Word, and standard on Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and/or Web) as well as software used at HUG (DPI-DPA-Opale-Greco-Winscribe).
You are comfortable with welcoming and interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds and have good communication skills. You also have very good stress resistance. Flexible, you work in a multidisciplinary team, respecting the current professional guidelines.

The unit is currently located at the Cluse-Roseraie site (rue Hugo-de-Senger) and will move in 2027 to rue de Lausanne.
