Your field of activity
- Data center operations: operation, monitoring, and further development of our own data center infrastructure (compute, storage, network)
- Participation in the operation of the internet backbone (BGP) as well as the central network infrastructure
- Responsibility for the stable operation of complex customer and hosting environments
- Planning and implementation of changes, updates, patches, and rollouts in the data center and customer environment
- Analysis and sustainable resolution of incidents and complex disruptions (1st-/3rd-level)
- Participation and technical leadership in infrastructure, migration, and modernization projects
- On-site assignments at customers
- Close collaboration with customers and employees
Must have:
- Very good network knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs; ideally basic BGP understanding)
- Solid IT basic knowledge in operating systems, virtualization, and infrastructure
- Enjoyment of IT infrastructure
- Several years of experience operating Windows server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Microsoft 365)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience in data center operations or hosting environment
- Realistic commute (Zurich Oberland, See-Gaster)
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form
- Good English skills in spoken and written form
- Completed training in the IT field (e.g., computer scientist EFZ) or comparable experience
- Driver's license category B
Nice to have:
- Experience with automation & Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, OpenTofu/Terraform, PowerShell)
- Linux knowledge in server or infrastructure environment
- Experience with container technologies or complex virtualization platforms
- Experience with Zabbix (monitoring)
