Head of Institute for Research and Development
University of Teacher Education FHNW, Institute for Research and Development
- Co-designing the strategic, cultural, and structural development of research and development at PH FHNW and the further development of the entire university
- Strategic, personnel, professional, qualitative, and financial management of the Institute for Research & Development
- Development and implementation of the strategic orientation of the institute in line with the PH FHNW Strategy 2035
- Responsibility for research management and overall coordination of research and development at PH FHNW
- Internal and external networking of the institute and PH FHNW in the area of R & D
- Representation of PH FHNW in national and international R & D committees as well as commissions and working groups
You are a communicatively strong, integrative, open, and team-oriented personality who moves confidently in both the university and school environments and gladly takes on leadership tasks. As a recognized research personality with good knowledge of the current challenges in the Swiss education system, the professional field, the Swiss higher education landscape, the third-party funding environment, and especially teacher education and successful teaching experience at the university level, you strengthen the university management and contribute to the profiling of PH FHNW.
You also have:
- A university degree in educational sciences or subject didactics with an excellent dissertation
- Habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements desired
- In-depth experience in teacher education
- An integrative personality with a will to shape, as well as pronounced organizational, cooperation, and communication strengths
- A participative leadership style and institutional thinking as well as joy in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration
- Presentation skills and persuasiveness in representing PH FHNW, especially in the area of R & D
- Several years of leadership experience in a larger organization/university and experience leading scientific teams/experts
- Interest in strong regional, national, and international networks with science, practice fields, authorities, and society and the ability to maintain these networks.
