The Secondary School and Vocational Training Office of the Canton of Zurich (MBA) is committed to the interests of youth, politics, and business for the cantonal secondary and vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies. As a customer-oriented service provider, the "Digital" department, in cooperation with various internal and external partners, ensures a contemporary IT service. To strengthen the team, we are looking for a specialist in information security and data protection with a workload of 80-100%, limited until 31.12.2029, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
In this role, you support the operational areas of the Digital Service Center Sek II on information security and data protection topics. You advise and assist the specialists in close cooperation. This includes conducting and providing professional support in the creation of protection requirement analyses (Schuban) as well as data protection impact assessments (DSFA). You accompany or create risk analyses and ISDS concepts and coordinate the implementation of cantonal guidelines and legal requirements. Furthermore, you support tenders and participate in projects to ensure requirements regarding information security and data protection. In your role, you are the right hand of the ICT security officer DSC Sek II (ISID) and assist with regular checks to ensure compliance with security policies. You also support overarching and strategic initiatives in the ISDS area. Regular reporting and documentation are also part of your duties, as well as conducting training and participating in awareness campaigns. Identifying efficient workflows and actively optimizing processes complete your versatile range of tasks.
Your profile
You have training in IT or business informatics or business administration or a comparable education, ideally supplemented by relevant further training. You are a person with pronounced negotiation skills and appear confident when dealing with demanding internal and external contacts. You have several years of professional experience in information security and data protection and bring corresponding knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework of the cantonal administration, including relevant laws, guidelines, and standards (AISR, BISR), or are willing to acquire this knowledge. Your working style is structured, independent, and solution-oriented. In addition, you have very good organizational, communication, and project methodological skills. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, are team-oriented, and have business fluent German skills in speaking and writing. Then we would like to get to know you.
