About the job
The Fairmont Monte Carlo is a luxury hotel located in the heart of the Principality of Monaco. It features 596 rooms, suites, and residences as well as four restaurants, six bars, a Fitness Center, a Spa, two swimming pools, Room Service, and a Catering service.
Reporting to the 1st Room Service Maître d’Hôtel, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
1. Opening & shift start
- Read instructions, alerts, notes, invoices.
- Sign attendance, reset POS terminal.
- Open Unifocus, Quick Audit, emails.
- Check BEOs, amenities, ACDC reports.
2. Administrative preparation
- Prepare Hand Over, distribute kits/refreshments.
- Prepare clearing sheets.
- Update kits (traces, anniversaries).
- Adjust if FO is late.
3. Clearing follow-up
- Note rooms & types of trays.
- Double-check invoices, highlight completed items.
- Report VIP changes + Unifocus tickets to MDH.
- Track room assignment changes.
- Retrieve CDR lists.
4. Financial management
- Enter tips, cash, corrections.
- Credit card payments: correct on Micros + file invoices.
- Generate reports (Lunch / Dinner / Overall):
- Check tips, voids, payments.
- Note covers & Net Sales.
5. Kits & amenities
- Update kit lists (server).
- Add kits via purchase orders.
- Confirm soup of the day.
- Invoice BEO & paid kits + photocopies.
- Check IRD BEO, amenities.
- Fill kit summary (USB key).
6. Emails & transmission
- Read / enter emails.
- Forward:
- Invoices → pigeonhole
- Reports / credit cards → trays
- Ideally three years of experience
- Fluency in French and English - Italian desired
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to focus on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
