About the job

• You take over the strategic category management for electronic components – from active and passive components throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• You develop and implement global procurement strategies that optimally balance costs, technology, quality, and supply security.
• You conduct complex contract and price negotiations and ensure a sustainably optimal cost and risk technical setup.
• You build up global supplier and procurement sources in a targeted manner, qualify them, and develop them further in the long term.
• You manage active supplier management including performance evaluation, development measures, and escalations.
• You analyze markets, technologies, and cost structures, recognize trends, risks, and savings potentials early, and derive concrete measures.
• You strengthen the resilience of our supply chain through dual sourcing, risk, and termination management.
• You act as a cooperative sparring partner for development, quality, and production and actively contribute your network.

• You have a completed technical or economic degree (e.g., industrial engineering, electrical engineering, business administration) or a comparable qualification.
• You bring many years of experience in strategic purchasing or category management for electronics – ideally in the industrial or high-tech environment.
• You have a deep understanding of the electronics industry, relevant markets, manufacturers, distribution models, and global supply chains.
• You know active and passive electronic components in detail – from semiconductors, ICs, and sensors to resistors, capacitors, and inductors.
• You are experienced in international contract, price, and framework agreement negotiations and present yourself confidently and assertively.
• You work confidently with purchasing key figures, total cost of ownership approaches, as well as cost structure analyses and use SAP and Excel routinely.
• You communicate negotiation-securely in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• You think strategically and entrepreneurially, work analytically and structured, and make clear decisions even in volatile market situations.
• You convince with a natural, likeable manner, can inspire, motivate, and enjoy working in interdisciplinary, international teams.
