About the job

• Responsible for case management and advising asylum seekers and refugees. Conducting client interviews, initial consultation, assistance with everyday problems, conflict resolution, mediation and arbitration
• Coordinating, clarifying and referring to specialized agencies for issues outside own responsibility
• Developing and implementing measures for social integration
• Taking responsibility for the completeness and correct physical and electronic file management. Taking responsibility for correct data entry / modification / case documentation
• Supporting asylum seekers according to cantonal standards and internal guidelines. Calculating and paying support benefits according to applicable standards and the subsidiarity principle. Preparing and/or correcting quarterly accounts as well as maintaining accounting lists and tables
• Preparing orders with legal remedy instructions for integration measures. Checking orders prepared by the administration
• Conducting monthly home visits (if relevant)
• Ensuring communication with clients and other authorities. Collaborating with other internal departments

• Completed training in social pedagogy / social work (HF/FH) / diploma as educator (HF/FH) / bachelor in psychology or bachelor in sociology
• 0 to 1 year relevant professional experience
• Cooperation and teamwork skills
• Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with people from different backgrounds
• Ability to independently implement social interventions
• Basic and user knowledge of MS Office applications
• Impeccable reputation (no entries in debt enforcement and criminal records)
