Within the Pictet Tech division, you will join a team dedicated to designing, integrating, and evolving data management solutions. As a Data Architect, you will be at the heart of the Pictet Group's technology strategy, participating in the development of robust and innovative architectures and ensuring their alignment with business line needs. You will play a key role in implementing state-of-the-art solutions for data processing, management, and valorization.
Your role
- Define, design, and evolve data architectures.
- Use of MDM (Master Data Management), DQM (Data Quality Management), Data Hub, DWH (Data Warehouse), Data Lake, and Medallion Architecture.
- Conceptual, logical, and physical modeling (ERM).
- Implementation of modern paradigms such as Data Mesh (Data Contracts, Self-Serve, Domain Federation) and Data Fabric.
- Design of models (e.g., Data Vault 2, star schema, or 3NF models).
- Oversee data integrations and flows.
- Use of integration patterns (ETL, ELT, API, batch scheduling, CDC, Kafka).
- Implementation of data virtualization solutions.
- Collaborate on cloud-related technology projects.
- Utilize data management tools on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Expertise with solutions such as Redshift, Snowflake, S3/Parquet & Iceberg.
- Support teams in technical development.
- Development in SQL and Python.
- Participation in projects using DBT, Informatica, Tableau, or Power BI (a plus).
- Promote best data practices within the Group by acting as an ambassador.
- Present technological visions to management and various partners.
- Develop target architecture roadmaps.
- Support change management and facilitate communication between data specialist teams.
Your profile
Technical skills
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong experience in designing data architectures (MDM, HUB, DWH, Data Lake, etc.) and data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) ERM.
- Mastery of databases.
- RDBMS, column-oriented databases, document-oriented databases, search engine databases.
- Bonus (vector databases, key-value databases, time series databases).
- Development in SQL and Python; mastery of DBT, Informatica, Tableau, or Power BI: a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud environments and associated tools (AWS Glue, DMS, Athena, RDS, Redshift/Azure Data Factory, Synapse/Snowflake/S3 – Parquet - Iceberg).
- Mastery of integration patterns (ETL, ELT, API, batch processing and scheduling, CDC, data virtualization).
Functional skills
- Good understanding of basic financial concepts (instruments, positions, transactions).
Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to present technological visions and roadmaps to management.
- Strong communication skills, leveraged to promote best data practices.
- Leadership in change management and ability to ensure effective collaboration between teams.
- Fluency in French and English
