The Social Directorate provides services in the areas of child and adult protection and social assistance for the city of Burgdorf and the neighboring municipalities of Ersigen, Hasle b. Burgdorf, and Oberburg.

Your tasks
In this responsible position, the assertion and control of medical expenses (health insurance/supplementary benefits/aids) are the focus. You ensure that all relevant services are correctly claimed. Additionally, you take on the examination of non-mandatory or non-covered medical expenses and report them accordingly. You check whether these costs can be covered according to legal regulations or whether they must be deducted. If necessary, you conduct clarifications with third parties, clients, or social workers. Furthermore, you support your team in recording and pre-checking health insurance policies as well as in processing individual assignments from social workers in the area of social assistance accounting.
Your diverse tasks also include the preparation of social assistance accounts when the economic circumstances of the beneficiaries improve, assets are realized, or claims against third parties can be asserted. Maintaining and updating master data for the Federal Statistical Office is also part of your duties.
Your profile
You have a commercial or equivalent basic education, preferably in a comparable environment, with several years of professional experience in accounting. You are flexible, responsible, and a helpful and team-oriented personality with a quick grasp. With your efficient, prompt, precise, and goal-oriented way of working, you bring the ideal prerequisites. Good IT skills (MS Office products) as well as the willingness to familiarize yourself with specialized products (KLIBnet) complete your profile.
