Chemist FH / Environmental Engineer FH

The Office for Nature and Environment (ANU) is a department of the Department of Education, Culture, and Environmental Protection. The ANU is responsible for the cantonal enforcement of the Water Protection, Environmental Protection, and Nature and Heritage Protection Acts.
We are looking for a Chemist FH / Environmental Engineer FH starting January 1, 2027, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Monitoring the operation of public and industrial wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in the canton of Graubünden.
- You evaluate the operational data of the WWTPs and check whether the discharge conditions are met.
- You analyze the control reports of the comparative analyses and prepare the annual reports for all WWTPs.
- You check the internal analytics, determine the causes of deviations, and train the operating personnel in wastewater analytics.
- You visit the WWTPs and familiarize yourself with their operation.
What we expect from you
- Completed studies as a Chemist FH or Environmental Engineer FH with in-depth knowledge and experience in process engineering and wastewater analytics.
- Willingness to complete the wastewater treatment plant personnel training of the VSA.
- You present yourself confidently, have negotiation skills, work independently, are communicative and a team player. Good oral and written proficiency in German is a matter of course; knowledge of Italian and Romansh is an advantage.
- Driver's license category B.
