The model experiment pre-trial detention is a multi-year project conducted by the pre-trial detention centers (UGZ) of the canton of Zurich in collaboration with the canton of Bern and ETH / USZ. As part of the scientific analysis, it is examined how resource-oriented interventions affect the incarcerated individuals.
For the scientific analysis, numerous data from various sources are collected and exported to ETH / USZ. Since the current data collection system in JuWe will be replaced by a new one next year, we are immediately looking for a committed and independent personality to support the model experiment team at the interface between data collection, product development, and science as a Product Owner and to represent the concerns of the model experiment regarding the new data collection system.
As a Product Owner, you are part of the Zurich model experiment team and work closely with DigiSol. Your workplace is both at PJZ with DigiSol and at the JuWe headquarters in Altstetten. The position is limited until the end of 2026.
Tasks
- You collect, analyze, and document the requirements of the model experiment in close cooperation with stakeholders regarding the new data collection system project
- You create use cases, user stories with acceptance criteria, and test cases
- You support the definition and validation of test cases
- You represent the model experiment pre-trial detention in the project team and are responsible for clear communication between specialist departments, IT, and suppliers
- You configure and parameterize requirements in the new collection system and support the DigiSol teams in these processes
- You are responsible for reports of data from the existing and later system and support the interface between ETH / USZ and data export in resolving emerging data consistency issues
- You develop digitalization solutions for certain work processes defined by the specialist department
Requirements and Experience
- Completed studies or equivalent degree in (business) informatics or business administration
- At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst or product owner in classic and agile projects
- High customer orientation and very good communication skills as well as assertiveness
- Solid knowledge in creating user stories and acceptance criteria
- Experience in modeling business processes
- Basic understanding of software development processes and IT architectures
- Experience with common tools for requirements documentation such as Confluence and JIRA
- Practical experience working within a Scrum team
- Strong team skills and willingness to actively contribute to developing a positive team culture
- Very good German skills, English is an advantage
