The Bern Institute of General Practice (BIHAM) is committed to the education and training of the next generation of general practitioners. It conducts and promotes research and teaching in the fields of primary care, epidemiology, and public health. We are looking for an employee for the coordination office for junior staff development in general practice at the Bern Institute of General Practice. Ideally, you are a physician working in outpatient primary care or have experience in this field. You are interested in supporting the next generation in primary care. You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. You enjoy contact with various stakeholders. Then we are looking for you.
Tasks
• Mentoring discussions with assistant doctors
• Correspondence with hospitals and development of new rotation positions
- Leading and organizing team meetings
- Participation, if applicable, actively at congresses to represent BIHAM, e.g., co-designing the program committee as BIHAM representative
- Participation and preparation of meetings with the canton regarding medical training
- Participation in the presidium of the supervisory commission for practice assistants
- Preparation of the long-term evaluation of the practice assistant program
Requirements
- FMH specialist title in General Internal Medicine or Pediatrics (or close to completion)
- Practical experience in outpatient primary care
- Excellent communication skills in German, both written and spoken
- Good language skills in French and English are an advantage
- Experience in personnel management is an advantage
- Interest in research and teaching is an advantage
