As part of a replacement, we are advertising a position for:
Track Guard Employee / Machinist
Your mission
Reporting to the track manager, you will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance of track devices, mainly during night shifts. Your activities will be linked to the various tpg depots. You will provide various internal and external clients with a quality of service that meets their needs within the best possible timeframes, using specific technical vehicles, in compliance with rules, standards, and directives.
Your main responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to tracks, switches, and track devices such as cleaning, drying, greasing, and safety checks in compliance with safety standards, customer satisfaction, equipment, and set objectives,
- regularly carry out checks and operations necessary for the proper functioning of the available equipment,
- intervene on request for actions related to the railway network (broken rails, slippery rails, switches, snow, and others),
- ensure the daily proper functioning of the railway network.
Your profile
• Approximately 3 years of professional experience in a technical field or as a machinist with good knowledge of the railway network, tpg, and mechanics,
• heavy vehicle driving license required and ideally a forklift license,
• good knowledge of necessary equipment and materials,
• strong interest in specific vehicles and their technical aspects,
• very good ability to learn new tasks, curiosity, and adaptability,
• availability and flexibility for work, working hours from 03:30 to 11:30 annually, on-call during the winter period.
