The KESB District Dietikon, based in the city of Dietikon, is responsible for Aesch, Birmensdorf, Dietikon, Geroldswil, Oberengstringen, Oetwil an der Limmat, Schlieren, Uitikon, Unterengstringen, Urdorf, and Weiningen with a total of around 95,000 inhabitants and has the task of ensuring the protection of adults and children.
We are looking for a candidate starting June 1, 2026, or by arrangement
Your tasks
- Implementation of the tasks assigned by law in child and adult protection with a focus on personal precaution, custodial care, finances, and transactions requiring consent
- Case management, participation in collegial decisions, and issuance of decisions independently
- Supervision of ordered measures
- Participation in the development of common standards and procedures as well as in the professional development of the KESB
Your profile
- Tertiary degree in social work and at least one relevant further education in child and adult protection
- Several years of professional experience in child and adult protection, preferably as an authority member, KESB specialist staff, or professional guardian
- Solid knowledge in child and adult protection and case management
- Knowledge in the focus areas of personal precaution, custodial care, finances, and transactions requiring consent or willingness to acquire these
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and willingness to think constructively for the whole
- Willingness to take responsibility and withstand pressure situations as well as understanding for people in difficult life situations
- Very good communication skills in spoken and written form
- Resilient, assertive, integral personality with a sense of humor
- Swiss citizenship (legal requirement according to EG KESR)
