The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partnership institution, funded by the Canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. A position of game librarian at 50% is open at the Eaux-Vives Game Library.
Job Description
Participate in the activities of the game library, particularly in the following areas:
- Game animation; design, conduct, and propose an animation activity in the field of games.
- Welcoming the public.
- Loan of games and toys, use of loan software.
- Knowledge of game materials, classification according to the ESAR system.
- Creation and arrangement of play areas according to themes.
- Animations in the game library and outreach collaboration (game library parties, game evenings, neighborhood festivals, open days, family game days, etc.).
- Welcoming school groups, after-school groups, specialized classes, E.V.E.
- Collaboration and mutual support within a team of 5 people.
Qualifications
- You must have obtained the training for Leisure Activity Supervision Functions (FFETL - CEFOC) or be required to complete it within the first year of employment.
- CFC ASE or any training deemed equivalent.
- An innate sense of social and human relations.
- Good contact with all generations of people.
- A taste for games and the desire to develop it in others.
- At least 5 years of experience in the social and/or associative field is an asset.
- Successful experience working in a team.
- Good knowledge of the social system and the Geneva associative network.
- Availability for events outside regular hours.
Additional Information
- The position requires some flexibility and availability for presence during specific events outside usual hours.
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 8.
- Start date: April 1, 2026.
