Head of Strategy & Business Development

The Knecht Group is a Swiss corporate group active in the fields of travel, passenger and freight transport, as well as healthcare services. It employs around 2,200 people.

The companies of the Knecht Group include, among others:

• EUROBUS: Largest private bus company in Switzerland, active in public transport as well as offering package and group tours
• knechtreisen: Leading Swiss tour operator and long-distance travel specialist with 13 brands and 20 locations
• Welti-Furrer: Oldest Swiss transport company, active in the areas of moving and storage, art logistics, special logistics, as well as pneumatic cranes and special transports
• Thomann: Leading commercial vehicle maintenance company for trucks, buses, and transporters with 10 locations
• knechtcare: Comprehensive provider of outpatient and Spitex services in healthcare, patient transport and care, as well as vaccination and testing services for private individuals and companies

You take on a key role in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in close collaboration with the management of the individual companies. You report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

• Initiation, leadership, and support of strategic initiatives and operational projects at the group level as well as in the various companies
• Management of the group’s strategy process
• Support of the individual companies in strategy development and implementation
• Evaluation and execution of corporate acquisitions
• Support of the Chairman of the Board in managing the entire group

• 3 - 8 years of experience in project development and implementation or relevant leadership (e.g., management consulting, internal strategy department, M&A, or start-up)
• Degree at university/ETH or university of applied sciences level (e.g., economics, engineering, natural sciences, or MBA), remarkable performance record (grades or other engagement)
• Analytical skills, structured and conceptual thinking, creativity
• Very good German skills, as well as good English skills
