About the job
The city of Illnau-Effretikon - located between Winterthur and Zurich - offers attractive conditions with its rural and urban areas, hamlets, centers, and the historic village of Kyburg for the approximately 18,000 inhabitants.
Our team in the social assistance department provides economic and personal social assistance as well as asylum care for people residing in Illnau and Effretikon. We are looking for a service-oriented and committed personality to start immediately or by arrangement as
YOUR TASKS IN THIS POSITION ARE:
- Checking and clarifying the responsibility as well as the financial claims of applicants according to the Social Assistance Act, the SKOS guidelines, and the Asylum Care Ordinance
- Supporting those seeking help in asserting claims against social and private insurances, employers, and other third parties
- Advising individuals and families in difficult life situations and initiating initial individual measures and assistance in the health, education, or work integration sectors
- Writing reports and decisions as well as various administrative tasks
YOUR PROFILE FITS PERFECTLY IF YOU:
- have a degree as a social worker FH or an equivalent education as well as professional experience in social assistance.
- have good knowledge of social security and an interest in legal and financial issues.
- have a flair for administrative tasks and find it easy to write reports and applications.
- convince not only with your professional qualifications but also with an efficient and precise way of working and stand out through your communicative and service-oriented manner.
