Job Description
The Sterilization Service includes 77 technicians who clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments from operating rooms, various departments, as well as from the University Dental Medicine Clinic, home care, and other external institutions, within the shortest possible time and according to the highest quality standards. It is a service of technical and scientific expertise.
As part of your apprenticeship as a medical device technologist, you reprocess surgical instruments (scissors, anatomical forceps...) according to best practices and quality guidelines. You learn to know each device to be able to trace the reprocessing steps (collection, sorting, washing, disinfection, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution). You perform routine checks on equipment (washers, sealers, sterilizers) and identify non-conformities.
You specifically apply the current service directives regarding safety, hygiene, dress code, and hand disinfection.
Qualifications
You have successfully completed your compulsory schooling and are seeking an apprenticeship as a medical device technologist CFC.
Your communication skills and ease in interpersonal relations facilitate teamwork.
You have good observation skills and manual dexterity.
Your good physical condition and sharp eyesight, combined with your precision and thoroughness, allow you to provide an adapted service.
You have an interest in the hospital environment and are ready to commit to a professional training alternating work in a company, practical courses, and theoretical lessons at school.
