Your Tasks
- Support the kitchen team leadership in the active management and development of the kitchen team including deployment planning and training
- Direct leadership of the kitchen specialists with assistants in the dishwashing and prep kitchen
- Ensure a varied menu design considering seasonal, dietary, cultural, and individual requirements, in close cooperation with the involved departments
- Support in organizing and conducting banquets, events, and catering
- Further development of the offer in the staff restaurant
- Continuous optimization of work processes, cost-effectiveness, quality, and the associated planning and implementation of continuous improvement measures (KVP)
- Implementation of sustainable kitchen concepts (e.g., food utilization, regional products, environmentally friendly processes, internal hygiene controls, etc.)
- Supervision of interns and apprentices and support in apprentice training
Your Profile
- Completed professional training in the kitchen (e.g., cook EFZ), further training as head chef with a federal diploma or similar professional training
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Professional experience in healthcare is an advantage
- Experience in training apprentices
- Strong service orientation
- Willingness to take on weekend and on-call duties
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Good IT skills (kitchen and inventory management systems as well as menu selection systems and common office programs)
