About Orient Express Venice at Palazzo Donà Giovannelli

Orient Express will open its second hotel in Italy in the exceptional city of Venice. Architect and interior designer Aline Amar d'Amman, together with her studio Culture in Architecture, has been commissioned to design and decorate the spaces.

Venice, once the gateway to Constantinople and a legendary stop of the Orient Express train – which opened in 1919 with the completion of the Simplon tunnel connecting Switzerland to Italy – will be the site of the second Orient Express hotel, scheduled to open in 2026.

As a Housekeeper, you will take care of guest rooms, ensuring they are clean and comfortable, and help create a memorable experience for them.

• Clean all assigned rooms, including: dusting, making beds, removing dirty linen from rooms and retrieving clean linen from closets, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning interior windows, restocking rooms with supplies.
• Follow all safety and hygiene policies.
• Maintain proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Update and record all cleaned rooms.
• Return and correctly label all lost and found items in the Housekeeping Office.
• Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Report any necessary maintenance issues.
• Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Sign the master key check-in and check-out log daily.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospital environment is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
• Experience in a luxury (5-star) hotel is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, or willingness to learn.
• Polite, friendly, and customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Ability to anticipate and focus on guests' needs, being professional and welcoming.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
