Deputy Head of the Mechanical-Locksmith-Carpentry Workshop
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S) of the CHUV is looking to complete its team with a Deputy Head of the Mechanical-Locksmith-Carpentry Workshop at a rate of activity between 80% and 100% for an indefinite duration.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety of the CHUV (CIT-S) has as its main activities the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting within its vast real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.
The 3 main missions of the Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety (CIT-S):
- Construction and modernization: ensure the study and realization of architectural projects, as well as the renovation of technical installations.
- Operation: ensure the maintenance of all technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the infrastructures of the CHUV and its affiliates. Guarantee the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for all medical, research, technical, and administrative activities.
- Protection and safety: ensure the protection of property and people.
Mission
- You assist the workshop manager in coordinating and organizing the workshop as well as supervising about 28 technicians, including 2 group leaders
- You manage and study projects of medium complexity and criticality in your field of expertise, independently and with versatility
- You are an expert in the field of technical installations such as mechanical installations and equipment
- You ensure technological monitoring in your area of expertise related to your function
- You supervise and accept installation works and equipment of the Hospital City.
- You actively participate in the application of the quality system (equipment monitoring, histories, reports, corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance, supplier follow-up)
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as an automation technician or an equivalent title complemented by a maintenance technician certificate and/or a federal group leader certificate
- You have excellent knowledge and experience in the maintenance of hospital equipment
- You have a sense of responsibility to perform interventions in sensitive areas, regarding the safety of people or property
- You master reading plans and diagrams and common office software.
- You have a good knowledge of the French language, spoken and written (minimum certified B2)
