To further develop our business area in industrial wastewater treatment and wastewater pretreatment plants, we are looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) with strong sales skills and solid process engineering expertise.
What is the position about?
Are you passionate about technical solutions with direct customer benefits? Do you enjoy opening up new markets, acquiring customers, and actively driving innovative industrial wastewater treatment concepts forward? Do you like working at the interface between sales, process engineering, and project implementation?
In this field role, you will strategically develop the industrial wastewater technology business area and actively drive new customer acquisition (hunter mentality). You will accompany projects from the initial idea through test measurements and concept definition to handover to project management – and take on project responsibility yourself if needed. Your work and deployment area can cover the entire Switzerland.
What tasks will you take on?
You will
- actively drive market and business development in the field of industrial wastewater treatment and wastewater pretreatment plants
- generate leads and build a sustainable, promising project pipeline
- advise customers technically and commercially, with a clear focus on new customer acquisition
- conduct test measurements at the customer and derive process engineering concepts for wastewater treatment
- develop tailored solutions in close collaboration with internal specialists
- handover the developed concepts to responsible project managers for further offer preparation and project execution
- conduct training for employees and external contacts on process engineering issues related to industrial wastewater treatment and pretreatment plants
- take on project management functions and actively accompany projects if needed
What do we expect from you?
You
- are a strong sales professional with a clear hunter mentality (approx. 80% acquisition / 20% existing customer care)
- have a completed degree as a process engineering engineer or a comparable chemical education
- bring several years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment
- possess solid knowledge in plant construction as well as in relevant standards and guidelines
- have basic knowledge in automation
- work hands-on, pragmatically, and solution-oriented
- think entrepreneurially and recognize market and customer potentials early
- communicate confidently with customers, partners, and internal interfaces
- work independently, structured, and with high personal responsibility
- have very good German and English skills. Good French skills are an advantage.
